We’re looking for passionate, dedicated individuals to join the School District 197 School Age Care team working with children in grades K–8. In this role, you’ll help create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where children can learn, play, and grow. Your Role Will Include:

• Assist the site supervisor(s) in providing a quality, age appropriate school age care. 
• Assist in the implementation and preparation of curriculum and enrichment activities for students.
• Assist in guiding children’s behavior using a positive and consistent style.
• Participate with children in activities.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Minimum of at least 1 year of childcare experience. 

• Experience working with children of diverse economic, social, and cultural backgrounds. 
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a background check.  
• Must be able to work on non-school days. 

Salary and Benefits:

• Competitive pay, starting at $16.89 - $18.59 per hour.

Locations & Shift Times:

• Garlough Elementary, Mendota Elementary, Moreland Elementary, Pilot Knob Elementary, Somerset Elementary, Noreen Center. Monday - Friday. 
  • 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm, 4 hours per day/20 hours per week.
  • 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm, 3 hours per day/15 hours per week.
  • 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm, 3.5 hours per day/17.50 hours per week.
• Friendly Hills Middle School, Monday – Friday, 6:30 - 8:30 am.
• Garlough Elementary, Monday - Friday 6:30 - 7:30 am
