We’re looking for passionate, dedicated individuals to join the School District 197 School Age Care team working with children in grades K–8. In this role, you’ll help create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where children can learn, play, and grow. Your Role Will Include:

• Assist in the implementation and preparation of curriculum and enrichment activities for students
• Assist in guiding children’s behavior using a positive and consistent style
• Ability to implement emergency procedures.
• Participate with children in activities.

Qualifications:

• Two or more years of post-secondary training in education or a related field or passing the ParaPro assessment.
• Experience working with children with special needs.
• Experience with children with high needs in group situations, good communication skills, high degree of flexibility.
• Experience working with children of diverse economic, social, and cultural backgrounds. 
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a background check.

• Competitive pay, starting at $23.21-$24.91 per hour.

Location & Shift Times:

• Garlough Elementary, Moreland Elementary, Pilot Knob Elementary, Somerset Elementary, Noreen Center, Elementary/Middle school Float. Monday - Friday. 
  • 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm, 4 hours per day/20 hours per week.
  • 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm, 3.5 hours per day/17.50 hours per week.
• The Noreen Center, Monday – Friday.
  • 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm, 2.5 hours per day/ 12.5 hours per week.
• Friendly Hills Middle School, Monday - Friday
  • ​​​​​​​6:30 - 8:30 am, 2 hours per day/ 10 hours per week
